100xAI — The Practical AI Crash Course

You already use AI like a slightly better Google. In ten days — one short lesson a day — you'll use it like a staff: brief it, check it, hand it your real desk work, then make things you've never made and assemble a personal toolkit that compounds. No technical background. Every click explained. Everything on free plans.

The promise

Not one magic trick — compounding. First you learn to brief an AI instead of querying it, to check it instead of trusting it, and to hand it your real desk work — email, documents, plans, numbers. Then you learn to make things you've never made: a researched report with sources, a presentation, images, a video. On the last day you assemble it all into your personal 100x toolkit — a small system of tools, habits and saved prompts that compounds every week. The time you save adds up — how much depends on you and your work — plus the things you'd simply never have made. Every exercise in this course runs on free plans: the price of required tools is $0.

iHow this course works

Ten short daily lessons, five per week, each ~25–35 minutes plus a 10–15 minute practice mission on your own real material. Week 1 — talk, trust, work: conversation, briefing, choosing your daily driver, research with sources, everyday desk work. Week 2 — make & compound: decks, images, video, memory and workflows, then your assembled toolkit. Read in order: the lessons cross-reference each other on purpose, so the whole thing reads as one course, not ten disconnected articles.

Who it's for

A smart adult with zero technical background who uses AI occasionally for simple chats or quick lookups — and wants to actually put it to work. Warm, jargon-free, every click explained.

What you'll need

A laptop and free accounts on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini (Day 1 sets them up). Everything here runs on free plans — paid upgrades are mentioned once, never pushed.

Week 1

Foundations — talk, trust, work

Learn to brief an assistant instead of querying it, pick your daily driver, verify what it tells you, and hand it the most annoying 20% of your week.

Day01 Meet your AI staff: your first real conversation Stop searching, start delegating — meet the brilliant, tireless intern who is sometimes confidently wrong. Day02 The Briefing Formula: five ingredients, two power moves, no magic words Role · Goal · Context · Format · Tone — plus "ask me first" and iterate. The answer is only as good as the brief. Day03 ChatGPT vs Claude vs Gemini: pick your daily driver The big three are 90% the same and 10% meaningfully different — pick a daily driver, know when to visit a specialist. Day04 Research you can trust: Deep Research, citations, verification Quick web-grounded answers vs Deep Research — and the Three-Click Check that keeps confident mistakes off your desk. Day05 The everyday toolkit: Draft · Distill · Plan · TabulateWk 1 capstone Four verbs that cover ~80% of beginner value — your boring desk work, grounded in your own files.
Week 2

Creation & Compounding — make & compound

Make things you've never made — decks, images, video — then make it stick: memory, Projects, saved prompts, and your assembled 100x toolkit.

Day06 Presentations: think first, then let AI build the deck Do the thinking in a chat assistant, the making in Gamma or Canva — the deck tool is the builder, not the architect. Day07 Images: brief the AI like an art director Subject + Setting + Style + Mood + Format — describe it like an art director, then refine conversationally. Day08 Video: the honest path from script to shipped clip Script with a chat assistant, front it with an avatar, edit and caption for free — plus the Sora parable: tools die, workflows survive. Day09 Make it yours: memory, Projects, repeatable workflows The Persistence Ladder — threads, memory, Projects and Gems — turns one-off wins into repeatable workflows. Day10 Your 100x toolkit: one page, one ritualCourse capstone Assemble your daily driver, specialists, saved prompts and a weekly ritual — the small system that compounds into 100x.
